Hospitality/Horticulture Trainer

Give young people their first taste of hospitality training...
CERES is a registered training organisation and delivers the Certificate II in Hospitality and Cert II in Horticulture. Training is held in our wonderful commercial grade community kitchen with groups of young people of diverse abilities. Our team is expanding so we’re seeking expressions of interest for casual positions ranging from half a day to one day per week.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience and qualifications (at least Cert II level) as well as Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) and some experience in training or working with young people.

Please forward a resume and short, 1 page introductory letter to carol@ceres.org.au.

The position description is available by clicking here.

Volunteer at CERES

Across the organisation we also have approximately 400 people providing their time and expertise as volunteers. Volunteers contribute to the key CERES enterprises such as Honey Lane and Harding Street Market Gardens, CERES site maintenance crews and behind the scenes through admin work.

The CERES seed propogation program is also a popular hub for volunteers and the fruits of volunteers labour can be seen all over the site as well as in the Market Gardens and at our Permaculture and Bushfood nursery. Many people decide to commit a regular amount of time to CERES such as a day or half day a week. For others they will be inspired by a particular project such as our Harvest Festival and volunteer only for the life of the project.

Check out our volunteers page for more info on how to get involved.

Whichever way you find your way to the CERES community be it through employment or volunteering your contribution is greatly appreciated.
