A donation made to CERES of $2.00 or more is tax deductible to the donor (Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, Section 30-25). CERES has received 'Deductible Gift Recipient' status from the Australian Taxation Office and therefore donors may claim an income tax deduction for donations made.

A donation or gift will only be tax deductible to the donor where the donation is made voluntarily and there is no material benefit to the donor. CERES membership is therefore not tax deductible as your receive discounts to events and other benefits by becoming a member.
