The newest buildings at CERES are at the top of the park with views over the community gardens towards the Merri Creek. Designed by renowned architect Gregory Burgess, the CERES Van Raay Centre sets a new standard in environmental excellence, using best practice eco principles, ‘hydronic heating’ and ‘eco-cooling’ methods.

The rooms are perfect for staff planning sessions, meditation classes, workshops and small business conferences and community meetings.

Available for hire: 7 days a week from 8.30am to 10pm

ROOM 1: 19.4m x 6.6m      Theatre: 100 pax, Workshop: 80 pax
ROOM 2:  4.3m x 6.6m       Theatre: 20 pax, U shape: 9pax, Boardroom: 16 pax
ROOM 3:  6.6m x 6.6m       Theatre: 40 pax, U shape: 18 pax, Workshop: 24 pax
ROOM 4: 8.5m x 6.6m        Theatre: 60 pax, U shape: 24 pax, Workshop: 32 pax

Capacities above are a guide only nad various set ups are available. Combinations of Room 2+3 or 3+4 can be hired to accommodate 50 to 70 people.

Attached at the north end of the building is a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, or a full catering service is available.

The Lower Merri is located in a separate building under the new Merri Restaurant. Tea and coffee making facilities, and filter water are also available in this room.
