Farm & Food

From local seeds we propagate, plant, grow, harvest, produce, sell and share a bounty of organic, locally grown produce because deep down we all want to be farmers.
Getting food to our tables is the largest single contributor of human created greenhouse gases; growing, transporting, storing, packing, cooking and disposing of food is responsible for over 30% of CO2 emissions. The CERES Community Food System is a working collection of farms, seed and food swaps, ethical retail businesses that train, employ and connect diverse groups of people through locally grown organic food.
Our mission is to demonstrate how an urban city farm can anchor a community and contribute to the local economy; providing an ethical market place, employment and opportunities for farmers, producers, teachers and food workers in an environment where we can celebrate the harvest.
