CERES has two certified organic market gardens located over two sites, Honey Lane Market Garden and the Merri Creek Market Garden.

The CERES Market Gardens are at the centre of our community food system.

We prepare our soil with mushroom compost from OM Mushrooms and the seedlings are propagated by our propagation team. All of the organic produce grown on at our Market Gardens is harvested and available for purchase at the CERES Organic Market, or via CERES Fair Food. Harvested produce is also provided to the CERES Café and to the CERES Seven Stars Food Project, who transform the produce into tasty seasonal meals and products such as jams and preserves. The Market Gardens also provide education and employment through our training programs and an opportunity for volunteers to get their hands dirty.
