The Seven Stars Food Project
Seven Stars celebrates local and CERES grown food and creates social connections
Established in partnership with Adult Multicultural Education Service (AMES) in 2007, The Seven Stars now runs independently as a CERES social food enterprise, assisting migrant women in our local community. The Seven Stars is operated by local Turkish and Kurdish women from the Alevi Community and provides the women with regular employment opportunities within the enterprise.
Currently operating from our wonderful Merri Table & Bar, the catering menu reflects the knowledge and traditional food cultures of the Turkish and Kurdish women participating in the Seven Stars food enterprise.
For bookings or enquiries contact Stephanie on 9389 0166 or email themerri@ceres.org.au.
Workshops
If you are inspired by their food and want to learn to cook it yourself, the ladies also run workshops. More information about workshops and the Seven Stars Food Project is available by contacting them via Melissa on melissa@ceres.org.au.
