Green Technology

Green Technologies are systems that use the best in science and engineering knowledge, along with a detailed understanding of natural ecological processes, to deal with water, waste and energy in sustainable ways.
The Green Technology team at CERES works to design and install working demonstrations of innovative green technologies. Each project is selected based on the reliability of the technology and the ease with which individuals, communities, industry and government can adopt them.
Most of the Green Technology projects at CERES also support the other enterprises on site, such as the cafe's composting toilets, the Van Raay Centre's energy efficient lighting and the Eco House's solar hotwater system.
All CERES Green Technology projects are designed to be working demonstrations or on going research projects, and can be viewed on site, or during guided tours.
