Cars that use traditional fuels have almost reached their limit as far as increasing efficiency and reducing carbon emissions are concerned.

Since 2007 CERES has been involved in designing and converting petrol engine cars to electric drive  to demonstrate how Australia's large car fleet can be used to build electric vehicles, minus the carbon emissions associated with the manufacture of new vehicles.
