The next stage of the evolution of CERES is underway. CERES has now built Stage One and Stage Two of the new  Centre. Designed by Gregory Burgess Architects, the Centre includes a new reception, many new workshop and training spaces, staff offices and a new organic restaurant known as The Merri. The Merri will open July/August 2010.

CERES is now seeking funding to complete the complex involving a performing arts and conference hall, more workshop and training spaces, an amphitheatre, landscaping and the completion of the community kitchen.

The next step in the dream - our community kitchen

The community kitchen has been designed to become a centre for community participation, celebration and learning about food. Basic services have been installed but it is not yet finished. Once this is done our dream of closing the seed to feed cycle can commence.

Our community kitchen will offer training, catering and a unique space for the community. It will be a place where everyone is welcome. Isolated and vulnerable members of our community can come together to cook, learn, share and celebrate. People of different cultural traditions can share their expertise.
