CERES was built on the efforts of volunteers. For nearly 30 years volunteers have given time, skills and experience to create a truly unique community model of sustainable living. CERES is setting the agenda in new ways of living but there is still so much more to do!

CERES offers corporate volunteering at our main location at the corner of Roberts and Stewart Streets East Brunswick and at the beautiful Merri Creek Market Garden on the bank of the Merri Creek in Coburg. 

Volunteering at CERES

Volunteer at Merri Creek Market Garden

The Merri Creek Market Garden is a 2.5 acres certified organic market garden and is a beautiful example of urban agriculture. Farmed continuously for 150 years it is a cornerstone of the food security endeavours of the CERES Farm Team.

If you are passionate about community food systems, enjoy getting your hands dirty and want to learn about organic market gardening then come and volunteer at the Merri Creek Market Garden. Volunteer days are Monday, Thursday and Friday 10 am - 3pm
