Kingfisher Festival Saturday 28th November - Bar Assistant
Position start and end dates : 28/11/2009
Number of volunteers per shift - festival day:
- Bar Assistant 3.00-5.00PM - 2 Volunteers
- Bar Assistant 5.30-8.00 PM - 3 Volunteers
- Bar Assistant 8.00-10.00PM - 3 Volunteers
Objectives : Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of the event.
Specific tasks and duties:
- Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (working as a team with one or two other persons)
- Taking monies and giving change
- Picking up used bottles and cups
- Cooling beverages in ice buckets
- Restocking bar when drinks run out
- The last shift will also involve some pack down duties towards the end of the shift. (ie. packing up all items on the table, folding up and putting away table and chairs)

Training: An induction for this role will take place 15 minutes prior to the shift
Fitness level required: The role requires a moderate level of physical fitness and includes lifting ice and drinks. Some standing at the bar is involved.
Skills/experience:
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Friendly attitude, good communication skills and having the desire to interact with fellow volunteers and patrons of the event
- Responsible Serving of Alcohol certificate much appreciated but not required.
