Kingfisher Festival Saturday 28th November - Pack-down Assistants
Position start and end dates : 28/11/2009
Shifts - festival day:
- 6.30-8.30 PM (dismantling of show area) – (6 Volunteers)
- 8-10 PM (pack down rest of festival) – (6 Volunteers)
Objectives : Pack-down of festival equipment on site (stalls, stages, decoration etc.) after the event
Specific tasks and duties : This role involves (but is not limited to) lifting, moving, dismantling and packing of the stalls, bar area, musical and performance equipment and the gates. It usually involves general clean up of rubbish and moving of wheelie bins.

Training:
- An induction for this role will take place 15 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
- Safe manual handling training will be provided.
Fitness level required : The role requires a good level of physical fitness and includes walking around the festival site and safely lifting objects / carrying equipment of up to approx. 16 kg weight (with the help of others).
Skills/experience:
- No experience required
- This role is best suited to night owls who enjoy getting things packed away, watching it all disappear and heaving a big sigh at the end.
