Position start and end dates : 28/11/2009

Number of volunteers per shift - festival day:

  • 11-1 PM (6 vols)
  • 1-3 PM (6 vols)

Objectives : Timely set-up of festival setting on site (stalls, stages, decoration etc.)

Specific tasks and duties : This role involves lifting, moving, un-packing and setting up a range of equipment and materials related to (but not limited to) stalls, site decorations, performance equipment, entry gates and bar.

Training:

  • An induction for this role will take place 15 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
  • Safe manual handling training will be provided.

Fitness level required : The role requires a good level of physical fitness and includes walking around the festival site and safely lifting objects / carrying equipment of up to approx. 16 kg weight (with the help of others).

Skills/experience:

  • This role is best suited to someone who enjoys getting everything in its place and ready to go
  • For stage set-up some production experience (handling technical equipment, cables …) would be highly appreciated
