During and after rain huge amounts of water wash off our urban environment and into the stormwater drains and urban water ways. This water can be heavily polluted and creates flash flooding.

This bio-retention trench is diverting stormwater runoff into the storage dam, and treating the water as it flows through. The system reduces fine particle pollutants such as oils and nutrients (from leaf litter, fertilisers and dog poo).
